Puppy information
The purchase of a new dog is a huge commitment, emotionally as well as your time and resources, and should be a well thought out decision. The dog you purchase could be in your life for the next 15 years. So choose your breeder carefully.
We select our pedigrees to match up dams and sires with good health clearances in our efforts to produce healthy, happy puppies. Any dog that is used in our breeding program will have health testing appropriate for an Australian Shepherd or Miniature american shepherd.
More of puppies will have docked their tails to 3 days after the birth according to the breed standard. But because in more countries in Europe is forbidden to breed and to show docked dogs, some puppies will have the tails left long. The puppies will be wormed several times and receive 1 puppy shot before they leave us at 8 weeks old.
Puppies are whelped in our homes . They will be accustomed to regular household noises and people coming and going. In the age 3-4 weeks they go outside to their puppy kindergarden together with their mom.
Although we focus our attention on dog shows, our dogs are successful in every area of competition( obedience, herding, tracking..) and we will do our best to match you up with a dog specific to your area of interest. If your area of interest is for a wonderful family pet, we’ve got you covered. Our “showdogs” are also our pets and it’s important to us to produce dogs that are enjoyable to live with. If you are wanting to do agility, obedience, rally, fly ball or any other discipline, we will try to direct you to a puppy we feel could excel in that area.
We breed for ourselves. We will normally keep a puppy from every breeding we do. The remaining puppies will be available for placement. All litters will be evaluated at 8 weeks, that is when we will decide who we are keeping and which puppies will be available. All companion puppies will be sold on a spay neuter contract.
We require a 300 eur deposit on a puppy , to be added to our waiting list. We will allow you to request a specific sex/color but the more open you are, the easier it will be for us to offer you a puppy.
If we don’t have a puppy to offer you, we will roll your deposit over to our next litter. If you’ve been waiting an extented period of time and we haven’t had a puppy to offer you, we will refund your deposit.
If you have any questions that we didn’t address or you’d like to discuss further, please feel free to contact us. We’d love to talk with you.
